Lord of the rings blog
One scene I enjoyed reading was when Gollum bit the ring off of Frodo and then while dancing around fell into mount doom. I couldnt help but feel that the scene maybe should have been written a little bit differently. I was hoping for a scene that would make Gollum look more like a good guy and instead of biting the ring off to take the ring for himself, maybe take the ring because he saw that Frodo could not get rid of it and then sacrifice his own life for the good of middle earth. I really think that would have been a more climatic finish and would make more sense to what Gandalf said about Gollum playing a role in the end.

A scene that really stood out to me in lord of the rings was when the mouth of sauron tried to bargain with Gandalf and trade him Frodo and Sam for land. I enjoyed the reaction of Gandalf because althoug he cared so much for Frodo and Sam he new that the protection of middle earth was more important, and he was ready to protect it at all costs. I also think that deep down he new that the orcs did not have Frodo, and that he was ok. This scene I really think should not have been left out of the movie. What also stood out to me is Sams willingness to give up the ring. I know he only had it for a short amount of time but it made it clear that sam is the toughest of the two.

lord of the rings and dreams of terror and death
In lord of the rings many exciting things are going on as the battle for middle earth continues. W hat I especially enjoyed finding out is the fact that even though the men have won some key battles against the orcs, the battle for middle earth is still not over. In the movie it made it seem after the big battle scene that the war was completely over, and that just wasnt the case. It was also very interesting to see the reaction of Denethor and shows just how powerful the enemy is, that it can break down a king. In dreams of terror and death I have been really enjoying the story titled through the gates of the silver key. This story reminded me so much of a movie and when it ended I wanted to say that I guessed it but I really had that the man telling the story was Randolph Carter.

Lord of the rings and dreams of terror and death
In lord of the rings the battle of middle earth is close to beginning. The men of middle earth are forming their armies preparing for the final attack by sauron. A scene that stood out to me is when legolis was asked about aid from the elves. He responded by saying that the elves have aleady fought thier battle the first time sauron came to power. It was interesting to me because in the second movie the elves come to the aid of men at helmes deep. I really think that the elves picking up their arms again would make for a great part of the book and look forward to see what happens next. In dreams of terror and death I especially enjoyed the first assigned story, beyond the wall of sleep. At first it made me wonder if someone can live, or feel they'rer living in a dream world a commit those crimes that joe slater commited in the story. And then finding out that he was actually a being from another planet made me think that the story would make an excellent movie.
